Short demonstration of a full airline flight, with very strong turbulence (advanced level). Click here for VideoHere is the catch with flying planes in Highway Smash: Turbulence: worst at 1000 feet, better as you go higher or lower than that. Requires frequent course corrections. Speed: higher altitude => higher speed reachable. Going to slow, stalls the plane and leads to rapid falling. Altitude: The faster you move, the harder it is to drop altitude and the slower you move, the harder it is to gain altitude. Conclusion: The player needs to know which altitudes and speeds to use depending on the situation. Turbulence presents itself as you gain experience as a pilot, so flying missions will become harder and harder over time, but the rewards get greater as well.

Not quite what I was expecting from flying but very cool. I like the gaining altitude effect as the buildings and roads get smaller. Is turbulence the only real enemy when flying?

Well, you'll have to do some multitasking, even without turbulence, it does require some skill to actually land the plane (also depends on size of the plane). You have to lower speed and altitude when approaching the runway, otherwise you might end up overrunning it. If you slow down too much the plane can stall an suddenly lose altitude. Turbulence is just a very nice way to increase difficulty overall and add something to do on your way to the destination. But out of curiosity, what did you expect?

I went into the video with no real expectations, so I didn’t know what to expect in terms of what it would look or feel like.

Alrighty. Tomorrow I'll be posting a few videos: - The new attack helicopter (Predator), armed with six guided missiles and a turret. - Some fun with collisions. - Police in action. Here is a little teaser. ... and a small bonus. Take a guess at what this plane does.

I can only assume that plane is a high-altitude bomber.

I can only assume that plane is a high-altitude bomber. This was indeed its original purpose, but it has been given new life as an aerial firefighter. It is now used to put out forest fires.
