This is a big one, but if all of you agree on it, I'd suggest we add the ability to actually enter the houses and rather than destroying the outside cars you would be "locked in" until you finish off all the enemies inside. It would also nicely couple with RebelDan's idea of collectible / pawning items, since you could actually be able to find these items inside the house.

Sounds like a great idea! Except if we are going to constantly be invading houses, especially with the massive number there are in any given city, it would likely become extremely tedious very quickly, and artificially add unnecessary game play time. However I have yet to actually see this idea, i'm probably being pessimistic about it, but it should be a concern to deal with before implementing something like this.

I actually don’t like the idea of breaking into a home and shooting everybody inside. Even if they are triad gang members, it’s a really scummy thing to do. If you want to persist with some kind of interior close quarters combat, I’d like to suggest maybe some kind of Triad warehouse, much smaller than the player’s warehouses of course, where the player is locked inside and must kill all triads inside to get out and is rewarded with pawn items and money. These warehouses could be all over the island for the player to raid and not interfere with current city layouts.

Well, you needn't forget that it's technically not their home. They took it away from people who originally lived their. But regardless, it's not a good idea to have have to repeat this for every single house. Warehouses could work, but they'd require additional assets and new buildings would have to be added to the game world. Another idea that I had, is to move this feature to the HQ at the end of a city conquest, when it tells you to eliminate the leader. You'd have to go into the HQ and finish up all the gang members and shoot the leader.

Having triad warehouses might not need brand new assets if you use a piece of the player warehouse HQ. I could also get on board with having the player go inside the gang HQ in the city center. There’s some potential there.
