So I've not been posting a lot recently, but this was mainly due to the fact that many loose ends had to be tied up at the back end of the game. Let me now give you a better idea what the game is all about, where it currently stands and how you might help out in its completion.
The best way to describe the game is: "It's the ultimate vehicular simulator for iOS!"
- You can drive a great variety of cars / trucks / special purpose vehicles / race cars / airplanes / helicopters / ships / etc... and in the future possibly even trains.
- The main objective is to unlock all kinds of things in the game world, which currently include: cars / super cars / airplanes / helicopters / boats / small ships / real estate (villas that generate revenue) / city hideouts (that store cars and at which you can even land your private helicopter) / build up a small airline (generates lots of revenue)
- The primary means of generating revenue initially is completing jobs such as: taxi, limo, bus, truck driving / street, pro racing / piloting charter, airline, cargo planes / piloting container, passenger ships / do fire, police and ambulance jobs / work for the military using tanks and helicopters
- As you complete jobs you earn skill points additionally to the money. You can invest those skill points into the directions you want to specialize yourself in, which in return will allow you to do new (better paying) jobs with higher skill requirements.
- Ultimately, you might become rich enough to afford very luxurious items like the yacht. The crown jewel of the game is a private island, which will be given to the topmost 100 wealthiest players who also have a new worth of $100 million.
- Obviously there is more detail to the game, but it would take a lot of time to describe every little bit of it. Here are a few examples though: You can get in trouble with the police by misbehaving, pay fines or try to hide, even get a new identity if you have to. You can tune your car in a nearby garage for better performance. The game also features Game Center and Cloud Saving and lots more.
Now not all jobs are done yet and some will require quite a bit of work to complete (it's really a big, BIG game), which is why it might seem like things are moving a bit slowly, but it is getting there. You know how it is, the last few hundred yards feel like the hardest to finish in a marathon.
For some time now I've been thinking about releasing an alpha version. This would allow you to test features like steering flying and a to get a general feel for the game, but even better, it might help in setting a final direction for the completion of the game. As of now, only very few people have experimented with the game (usually for a very brief time) and it's hard to tell what modifications or additions I should make based on that alone.
So, if anyone would be willing to actually try messing around a little with the game (as is, no in-game tutorials / guidance of any kind, no fixed progression - some parts would be locked others unlocked), purely for testing and general feedback, then let me know here and I'll try my best to create a temporary "testable / playable" version of the game. It would definitely help setting a path for the future of this game, that's for sure!
