Right now a few of the UI elements are a bit too hard to notice/read, in my opinion.
1. The map is too small. Would it be possible to implement a zoom function for the map? Maybe zoom in to showing a block/block and a half or so. Right now the map is a bit hard to read, and I worry that people with poor eyesight will not be able to use it at all.
2. The joystick icon for getting into a car is not very obvious. For example if the car is red and you stand so the windscreen is "down", the image blends in with the car. Maybe just increase the size a little bit, so that it juts out obviously from the car and breaks the outline.

Thanks for all the feedback, it really means a lot to me! 1 - Agreed, that's what happens when you spend most of your development time on the iPad. Should be doable though. The question is whether it should be a menu setting, or a button next to the map. I'm just worried the UI will get too packed with buttons at some point. 2 - That's easily fixed, will just add a bright glowing outline around the icon. Is the game itself large and visible enough though, or do you think people might be struggling with that as well? Changing this is actually relatively easy, but it's always going to be a trade-off between clarity and range.

1. A button would be more accessible but yes I agree that the UI might become too cluttered, not to mention it could cause confusion given the zoom button that's already there. One other solution maybe would be to have an option for the map to become translucent and overlay it on the main view, something like this: drive.google.com/file/d/1Tb5JX8CHXesg2XBI_aFc_GWl2g3ABqRt/view?usp=sharing(Image from Solomon's Keep) The map would need modification though, like maybe only showing the outlines of the roads instead of all the buildings. 2. That works, looks good too. Nice job. One other thing I should mention is that the player sometimes blends in the with background a little too well, especially when zoomed out.

1 - Yeah, a modification like that would require quite a bit of work. We should probably stick to reducing the range of the current map and perhaps increasing the size of the icons. Below is an example. 2 - Glad you like it. 3 - Yep, most notably during low light conditions. The flashlight can be a bit of help there, but the player should really be highlighted somehow.

1. Looks better, though I think the little chevron that represents the player could be a little more defined.
3. Maybe in low light conditions give the player a slight glowing outline?

1 - Haha, that's exactly what I was working on just now! EDIT: Hm, the image quality is so bad after uploading, you can't really see the improvement. 3 - Yeah, that'd probably be the best thing. Could also illuminate the whole character actually. I'm doing the same with all the other civilians that walk around the city.

That should do it! That's in the middle of the night. Naturally I won't do the same with enemies, that's why we have the flashlight and soon night vision.
