- Added XP (Experience Points) system: Rather than earning SP (Skill Points), the player now earns XP, which then translates to SP. Every additional SP is slightly harder to earn than the previous one.
Why this change?
1 - We needed to decrease the skill points range (previously 1 - 100, now 1 - 10 per skill), simply because there is only so much stuff that can be unlocked in the game. No point in having to increase your offensive skill by 10, in order to get the next weapon.
2 - Skill Points now feel far more valuable. You have to put more thought into how you'll invest that hard earned point.
3 - XP allows tiny increments in progress. Before, the player would receive a few skill points only when completing jobs / missions etc. Now, thanks to the XP system, the player can slowly work towards the next SP by doing smaller things, like killing bad guys.
- Added stolen car selling to garage.

Implemented all skills and associated perks:
- Driving, Flying & Boating: Allows you to buy / rent more advanced vehicles - Defensive: Reduces damage received by enemy weapons - Offensive: Gives access to additional weapons (including gang members), allows attacking stronger cities - Dexterity: Enables you to pick locks of more advanced vehicles, improves weapon handling (aim) of player and gang members, access to more power-ups - Charisma: Allows adding more gang members to city, increases job rewards (cash) * Any skill upgrade has the potential to unlock new jobs (refer to specific job requirements)
Also, like mentioned before, the skill scale is now 0 - 10 and skill points are earned through experience points, which you receive through various actions in the game.

- Your employers now live in some of the houses across cities, rather than in a specific / same looking building. Feels far more realistic and less repetitive. - Did lots of fine tuning and adjustments to make the game feel more consistent and to minimize potential confusion. - There are now only three major facilities in every City: 1 - City Center: Police, Hospital, Town Hall, Jobs, Shopping, Trading 2 - City Hub: Airfield, Car / Plane Rental 3 - Hideout (we should find another name for it): Gang Member management, Identity switch, Car storage, Car tuning / repair, Helipad

Just a little update. During the past few days I've been playing the game over and over to detect bugs, balance issues, problems with on-screen instruction etc. There were lots and lots of little issues which had to be addressed and as a result, all other work was on hold. I really tried working on a mission (High Octane), day after day, but every time something more urgent would pop up and delay my original plans.

It’s great to see progress is still being made on Highway Smash after so long. Did I miss the beta testing or is there still time to help you with that?

It’s great to see progress is still being made on Highway Smash after so long. Did I miss the beta testing or is there still time to help you with that? There was some several months ago and will be again very soon. I will make an announcement when it's ready and would be glad to have you aboard!

The look of a house (or garden) will depend on it's occupant. - Rival factions turn the place into a total dump. - Player control turns it into a flower garden.

City walls and gates. These are mostly decorative (i.e. will not have an impact on city conquest etc.), but do force you to access cities via the gates rather than from wherever you like.

That’s great to hear. I’d love to help beta test, and even donate some funds if it might help.
